Long winter brings golf & ski combo opportunities to North Shore

Though it might seem like a photo or storyline straight out of the American West, visitors to and residents of Cook County were offered a unique experience during the first weekend in May: the opportunity to golf and downhill ski on the same afternoon.

Among those who participated in skiing at Lutsen Mountains and golfing at Superior National at Lusten was Lee Bergstrom. A co-owner of Thomsonite Beach Inn & Suites on the North Shore, Bergstrom embraced the opportunity to ‘putt for par’ and ‘shred the gnar’ on the same day.
