Local youth swim team to host meet in Grand Marais

As January begins to wind down, the Cook County YMCA Northerns Swim Team is preparing for sections and the state competition.
Before the postseason begins, the local swim team will host a meet at the YMCA in Grand Marais on Saturday, Jan. 20 starting at 10:30 a.m. The joint Duluth/Cook County Northerns team will compete against another youth squad from Superior, Wisc.
WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Northerns Swim Coach Emily Breaker about the 2017-18 season and what to expect down the final lap of the season.
