One Minnesota resident was killed in Las Vegas when a gunman opened fire from a hotel room above a crowded outdoor concert that took place the weekend of Oct. 1. The shooting killed at least 59 people, while wounding more than 500 others.

There is no exact count for how many Minnesota residents attended the three-day Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. However, at least one Cook County resident, Ann Honer, was in attendance while the shooting took place during the festival.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Honer about the experience.
