Local guide talks ethics of bear hunting in Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says the state’s black bear population is on the rise. The state’s bear hunting season opens Thursday, Sept. 1, and will continue through Oct. 16. Last year, Minnesota hunters killed 1,971 bears throughout the state.
