Local baseball team advances to state tournament

The local Legion baseball team has qualified for the state tournament taking place this weekend, August 10-12 in Montevideo.  The first game for the team will be on Friday, August 10 at 12:30 p.m. against Starbuck.  Below is an interview with WTIP's Sterling Anderson and baseball coach Arleigh Jorgensen, talking about the upcoming state tournament and the playoff run leading up to it. 

Afterward, WTIP's Rhonda Silence caught up with ISD 166 Acitivites Director Mitch Dorr.  Dorr is organizing an effort to help cover some of the costs associated with the trip to the state tournament, including a small coach bus, player and coaches meals, and more.
