Kristin DeArruda Wharton reflects on completed Bush fellowship
In March 2017, the Bush Foundation announced a list of 24 fellowship winners who were selected based on their records of achievement and extraordinary potential to make significant contributions in their communities. Leaders were selected from throughout Minnesota and other parts of the Upper Midwest.
Among the 2017 fellowship winners was Cook County resident Kristin DeArruda Wharton.
During the past two years, DeArruda Wharton has done extensive work as a means to become a stronger leader for rural health care, including here in our community.
The audio posted below comes from a Community Conversation program on WTIP where host Joe Friedrichs talks with DeArruda Wharton about the recently completed Bush fellowship. We also hear reflections from DeArruda Wharton during the past two years and what comes next with regard to her plans and her thoughts on rural health care heading into 2020.
