Kate Surbaugh named new CEO of Sawtooth Mountain Clinic
There is a new CEO of Sawtooth Mountain Clinic.
Kate Surbaugh, a current employee of the local health-care provider, will be the new CEO of Sawtooth Mountain Clinic. Surbaugh will transition from her role as the clinical nurse manager to the top post at the clinic.
Surbaugh will replace Rita Plourde as CEO of Sawtooth Mountain Clinic. Plourde served as the administrator of the clinic for 38 years before announcing her retirement earlier this year.
There is no exact date or timeline yet for when the transition of leadership will occur, though it will likely be in the summer or early fall of 2019.
Surbaugh started her career at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic in 2013. She first arrived in Cook County in 1995, working at Sawbill Canoe Outfitters before pursuing her career in health care.
Plourde and Surbaugh stopped by WTIP on June 27 and talked with Joe Friedrichs about news from the clinic. During their conversation, they shared publicly for the first time the news about the transition in leadership at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic.
