Johnson Heritage Post opens new exhibit

The Johnson Heritage Post in Grand Marais is opening a new exhibit Friday, June 23. It will showcase the work of students and alumni from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, such as the works of Birney Quick, one of the founders of the Grand Marais Art Colony.

The show includes oil and encaustic paintings, landscapes and abstract by students of MCAD. The exhibit runs through July 16. Johnson Heritage Post is open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 4  (closed Tuesdays) and Sunday 1 to 4.
