Injured hiker rescued at Kadunce River

Cook County Search & Rescue and Colvill Fire Department successfully rescued an injured hiker at the Kadunce River this afternoon.
 
The 54-year-old male was visiting the area with approximately 20 other family members. According to Cook County Law Enforcement, he attempted to jump between waterfalls after getting stuck and is believed to have broken his leg.
 
The Lutsen Search & Rescue Rope Team which performs high angle rescue was also dispatched; however, the victim was transported down the river to safety by responders. He was transported to North Shore Health.
