Ice Storm Robotics still going strong
School District 166 has a history of a robust Robotics program. The team has gone to robotics competitions at the Duluth Entertainment Center for many years. Unfortunately, COVID-19 precautions have canceled that regional event.
That's the bad news. The good news is that there are still some students working away on robots in the Industrial Tech area and they may be able to attend a smaller competition in April.
The smaller 2021 Robotics team is still ambitious and they are planning to share the work they have been doing with the public during the 2021 Fisherman's Picnic. The team plans to have two working robots that will interact by tossing balls to kids.
WTIP's Rhonda Silence visited with the team to learn more.
