A recently published study suggests that all dogs alive today can trace at least some of their ancestry back to dogs that were domesticated 33,000 years ago in southern East Asia. We wanted to learn more about man's (and woman's) best friend and where they came from, so we asked Dr. Ned Patterson, associate professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the U of MN, to join us. He spoke with Dick Jan. 8.
