Hospital takes steps to assist local pharmacy
Service issues at the Grand Marais Pharmacy have been a topic of discussion in the community for the past several months. In June, WTIP reported on some of the issues the local pharmacy faced in 2019 and their plans to address the situation. In addition, WTIP talked with local Hospital Administrator Kimber Wraalstad about pharmacy operations and adoptive strategies in the community, including at North Shore Health in Grand Marais.
This topic surfaced during the most recent meeting of the Cook County Hospital District Board Sept. 25, as WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs reports in this interview.
In addition to an update on the local pharmacy issue, Wraalstad shares information about what are being called ‘North Shore Health updates.’ These are public-engagement sessions where anyone interested in learning more about the local hospital and its service offerings can ask questions. The first of these will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the local hospital.
