A levy increase of $300,000 in 2019 for North Shore Hospital and Care Center will contribute to an overall increase in taxes for Cook County property owners.

During a meeting of the North Shore Health Hospital Board on Thursday, Sept. 13, the board voted to increase the levy from about $800,000 to $1.1 million.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Hospital Administrator Kimber Wraalstad about the levy increase and other hospital news, including the parking lot lighting situation at the local medical center.
