The radio was once considered the primary source for news, sports and entertainment. Doug Turner is a resident of the Gunflint Trail who refuses to turn off that historical notion.
During the 2017 Major League Baseball World Series, Turner utilized his radio at his home near Loon Lake to listen to each game as it was broadcast from a Chicago radio station.
WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Turner about listening to sporting events on the radio.
