North Shore Health and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic have a unique partnership, officials say.

Local healthcare officials continue to plan for the potential arrival and spread of COVID-19. WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with North Shore Hospital Administrator Kimber Wraalstad for an update.

In this interview they discuss the number of beds at the local hospital and issues concerning personal protection equipment. 

During the course of the conversation Wraalstad explains that medical staff at local healthcare facilities have enough PPE to endure an initial wave of patients who could fall ill from COVID-19. However, more PPE supplies that would be needed are currently on backorder and could take until June or August to arrive.
