Staff from the US Forest Service from both the Tofte and Gunflint Districts are holding a town-hall style meeting from 4-5 p.m.  Monday, Aug. 19 at the Mid-Gunflint Trail Fire Hall.

The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome, both residents of the Gunflint Trail and those visiting or who live in other parts of the North Shore area.

There will be the opportunity to ask questions of Forest Service staff at the meeting regarding prescribed burns and other forest management practices regarding fire.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Patty Johnson from the US Forest Service about the upcoming meeting.
