Fisherman’s Picnic is an annual celebration in downtown Grand Marais. This year’s event was set to take place from July 30 to August 2 and would have been the 91st Fisherman’s Picnic celebration.

WTIP was informed May 12 that this year’s Fisherman’s Picnic has been canceled due to ongoing concerns about the new coronavirus.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with is Visit Cook County Executive Director Linda Jurek about the cancellation of Fisherman’s Picnic in 2020 and other topics related to tourism locally amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
