The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources offers courses to certify youth for safe and legal hunting in the state. The youth classroom course is designed for ages 11-15. Instructors certify that students pass a written test and field exercises. The course is offered in Grand Marais each spring.

WTIP volunteer Rhonda Silence produced this feature on the local firearms safety training.
