Everything you need to know on Election Day in Cook County

Voter turnout is traditionally very high in Minnesota, as nearly three-quarters of eligible Minnesota residents cast a ballot on average over the past four general election cycles, the highest voter turnout rate of any state in the nation. In addition, Cook County traditionally has one of the highest turnouts based on population percentage among all of Minnesota’s 87 counties.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cook County Courthouse today, as well as the community center for some precincts in Grand Marais. The ballots will be counted after 8 p.m.
