Under mostly sunny skies and nearly perfect conditions, more than 150 people gathered at the Seagull Lake Community Center at the end of the Gunflint Trail on Saturday, May 6, to reflect on the 10 year Anniversary of the Ham Lake Fire.

The commemorative event, titled “A Celebration of Community: Remembering the 2007 Ham Lake Fire” took place 10 years and one day after the fire started on Ham Lake near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

WTIP's Joe Friedrichs was on site for the event, and has this report.
