If you’ve ever wondered why a parking lot floods in downtown Grand Marais or were curious about stormwater runoff impacting Lake Superior, a meeting later this month should be of interest to you.

A joint effort between the city and county, the meeting will largely focus on an updated stormwater management plan for the city of Grand Marais. The public event is on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cook County Community Center.

Presenting information and leading the meeting will be Carl Almer and Camilla Correll, two water resource engineers from the Twin Cities.

If you are unable to attend, you can provide input through an online survey at the city's website. More information is available at 387-1848.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Correll about the upcoming public meeting and stormwater management in Grand Marais.
