Every Thursday morning while the Minnesota Legislature is in session, the WTIP news team checks in with District 3A Representative Rob Ecklund to hear an update from the Capitol.

During a conversation with WTIP News Director Joe Friedrichs March 7, Ecklund discussed a variety of topics relevant to Cook County, including the proposed expansion of the local jail and funding for soil and water conservation districts in the state of Minnesota.

Find the audio to that conversation below.

The ongoing conversations with Ecklund take place at 7:40 a.m. each Thursday during the legislative session.
