Earth Day celebrations planned in Grand Marais

Earth Day is Sunday, April 22. In recognition, a variety of events are scheduled in Grand Marais on Saturday, April 21.
There will be a community beach clean up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harbor Park. There will be activities for kids, including a coloring contest from Cook County Soil and Water. Later in the day at 3 p.m., there will be a March for Science at Harbor Park, with speakers from 3:30-4:30.
At 5 p.m., Voyageurs Brewing hosts Dr. John Green for a presentation on regional geological foundations.
Finally, the Grand Marais Public Library hosts a screening of the film "A Plastic Ocean" at 7 p.m.
