The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources are starting work on Monday, July 23 on Otter Lake Road in the Grand Portage State Forest. Work will also be taking place on the Irish Creek Road mid-week.

The road work will be in three phases--some heavy grading, hauling in 500 - 600 yards of gravel, and then ditching. LaBoda Excavating is doing the work.

Motorists are reminded to use caution as there will be heavy equipment and trucks hauling during this time. The road surface will also be rough until the final grading is finished. Work should be done on Friday, July 27, depending on weather.

Rhonda Silence learns more about the DNR road project in this interview.
