Cross country boys' team takes first at Swain Invite

The North Shore Storm raced well at the Swain Invitational on Saturday, October 7. The boys' varsity team finished in first, beating out powerhouse cross country teams from Mora and Esko. 

The varsity runners on the first place team were Jake Peron, Noah Smith, Will Surbaugh, Isaac Swanson, Brenden Siepke, Leif Anderson and JC Holmen. 

The girls's junior varsity team also finished well, taking second place. On that team was Maya McHugh, Kate Walsberg, Brooklyn Smith and Malin Anderson.

WTIP's Rhonda Silence spoke with Coach April Wahlstrom about the Swain Invite and the upcoming conference meet. The North Shore Storm hosts the conference meet at the Pincushion Mountain Trails on Wednesday, October 11. Racing starts with the JV runners at 1 p.m.
