There are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cook County as of May 7.

In this update from Sawtooth Mountain Clinic, Dr. Kurt Farchmin discusses COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, personal protective equipment and National Nurses Week.

In the discussion with WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs, Dr. Farchmin explains that testing for local residents who are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 but would like to get tested do not have that option at this time. This includes local healthcare workers, a dentist, a grocery store employee or volunteer, or anyone not experiencing symptoms of the new coronavirus.
