County may hire consultants to help with budget goals, capital improvement plan

During a ‘Committee of the Whole’ meeting at the Cook County Courthouse on May 16, members of county staff and the commissioners discussed hiring outside consultants to help advise them when setting the 2018 budget and working on a capital improvement plan.

The County Board will likely vote on May 23 during a regularly scheduled meeting of the commissioners if they are willing to spend up to $20,000 to hire the financial consultants.
