County considers plans to build a new 'justice center'

During a ‘Committee of the Whole’ meeting at the Cook County Courthouse on May 16, members of county staff and the commissioners discussed building a new jail, law enforcement and judicial facility.
 
Though in the early stages of planning, one idea to address the problem of inadequate jailing operations is to build an all-encompassing ‘justice center.’
