County board agrees to hire consultants for financial advice

The Cook County Commissioners are willing to spend up to $20,000 to have third-party financial consultants advise them on setting future budgets.

The county board approved hiring the consultants during a meeting of the commissioners on Tuesday, May 23. The motion to approve hiring the consultants passed on a 4-0 vote and after a period of discussion amongst the commissioners.
