County administrator discusses 'committee of the whole' format

During a meeting of the Cook County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, July 17, questions surfaced about why meetings in the committee of the whole format are no longer recorded.

The questions came from local residents Donna Lunke and Arvis Thompson, with the commissioners and County Administrator Jeff Cadwell responding with a variety of answers, including a reiteration that committee of the whole meetings are in a different format than regularly scheduled meetings.

Cadwell spoke with WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs and Rhonda Silence on July 18 to share more on this topic.
