Cook County Schools CLOSED Tuesday and Wednesday due to hazardous weather
The National Weather Service has declared the next week as “a period of historic cold temperatures and life-threatening wind chills.” For that reason, all Cook County Schools are cancelling school on Tuesday, Jan. 29 and Wednesday, Jan. 30. That includes all schools - School District 166 and Great Expectations School in Grand Marais; Birch Grove Community School and Oshki Ogimaag in Grand Portage.
Other weather-related cancellations have been announced.
The Wednesday, Jan. 30, “Tech for 55+” event at the Grand Marais Public Library has been cancelled. Another “Tech” night is scheduled for Feb. 27.
Yoga classes at Cobblestone Cabins in Tofte have been cancelled for the week. Instructor Kathy Horak says classes will resume next Tuesday. For more information, email [email protected].
All Tuesday and Wednesday activities at Cornerstone Community Church in Grand Marais have been cancelled.
