The Governor's Council on Minnesota’s Coastal Program is made up of 15 individuals from throughout the coastal area of Carlton, Cook, Lake and St. Louis counties who have a passion for Lake Superior and the desire to make a difference.

Volunteers are currently invited to serve on the Governor’s Council on Minnesota’s Lake Superior Coastal Program. The council meets about five times a year on the North Shore.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Amber Westerbur, the Minnesota DNR’s coastal program manager, about the volunteer opportunities available and the program overall.

More information is available from Amber at 218-834-1445.
