The Cook County Emergency Services Conference is under way in Grand Marais today. The waterfront at the boat launch at the Grand Marais Recreation Park is currently the scene of a live fire exercise. The county's newest emergency services tool, a Mobile Command and Rehab Trailer is being put to the test as well. 

There are a number of other courses taking place and there are attendees from all over the region, including Canada, as emergency responders come together to hone their skills. The conference also gives emergency response personnel the opportunity to get to know one another in non-emergency situation.
