Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategies or WRAPS is the local response to a pilot project to put together a comprehensive watershed plan for the north shore. To this end Cook County Soil and Water has assembled an advisory committee to research and report on various features of our watershed area.
Chel Anderson is a local plant ecologist and botanist and is familiar to WTIP listeners with her regular North Woods Naturalist features. Chel is a part of the WRAPS team and joins us to talk about why healthy local watersheds matter to Lake Superior.
