Dick welcomed the executive director of the Ernest Oberholtzer Foundation, Beth Waterhouse, to the show July 18. She told the story of how Ober came to know and love the border wilderness area, and how he fought to protect it. His island in Rainy Lake, Mallard Island, is now a study and retreat center.
