At 7 p.m. tonight, the Vikings’ number-one seeded volleyball team hosts the second round match in Section 7-A playoffs. The 18 and 2 Cook County team will host 10-17-and-1 Duluth Marshall. While the Vikings had a first-round bye, the eighth-seeded Hilltoppers advanced by defeating Mesabi East 4 to 1 on Monday night

Tonight’s match will be broadcast starting about 6:45 PM with Bob Carter and Kelly Roberts calling the action. WTIP and Boreal also are planning on a live video webstream of the match with the WTIP broadcast team providing the audio.

The winner of tonight’s volleyball game faces the winner of the tonight’s game between number four seed Cromwell and Silver Bay at 6 o’clock Friday night in Hermantown. The 10 and 10 fifth-seeded Mariners beat Fond du Lac Monday night and 10 and 8 Cromwell had a first round bye. Their game is at Cromwell.
