Vikings start football, volleyball playoffs

The Cook County Vikings head into the football and volleyball playoffs starting on Tuesday, October 23.

CCHS Athletic Director Pam Taylor reports that the football team will open the playoffs at Lyle Anderson Field in Grand Marais at 6 PM, Tuesday, October 23 against Cass Lake-Bena.. Taylor says the winner of the Cass Lake-Bena game will play at 2 PM, Saturday, October 27.

The volleyball team will open its action in the CCHS gym on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 PM after drawing a first-round bye. The Vikings will play the winner of the first-round game between Lakeview Christian Academy and Cromwell.

Taylor reports that no CCHS athletic passes are allowed for the playoffs. Tickets will be $8 for adults and $5 for students at the gate.
