Seniors: Getting around in Cook County

Today, 79 percent of seniors age 65 and older live in suburban or rural communities that are largely car-dependent. As seniors get older, they often turn to public transit to get around. The Northland’s own Arrowhead Transit was recently honored in a study that looked at the status of transportation for seniors across the country. WTIP’s Kelly Schoenfelder has this story.
