Minnesota’s U.S. Senator Al Franken recently returned from Afghanistan and shares his experience with WTIP in an interview with Jay Andersen on DayBreak. Sen. Franken also discussed the health care overhaul bill, aid to earthquake ravaged Haiti, and what the loss of a senate seat in Massachusetts means for Democrats.

Every Wednesday morning, Sen. Franken hosts a Minnesota constituent’s breakfast. The featured dish is one of his favorites – Mahnomin Porridge.
