Road Salts: Extensively used, but are they safe?

Winter, snow, travel conditions.  How does the use of road salts fit in?  Their use is controversial, considering the harsh impacts they can have on the environment. Then again, they are effective when it comes to providing safe travel. New WTIP volunteer Joseph Friedrichs takes a closer look at the impact road salts have in our neighborhood.
