September is National Suicide Awareness Month, and it's important to be aware of the complex issues surrounding suicide. WTIP’s Veronica Weadock spoke with Grace Bushard of Cook County Public Health and Human Services about suicide awareness, coping and prevention.

The second audio link is  further discussion of QPR, a prevention technique that PHHS hopes to train more people in in the near future.

For more information, contact Grace Bushard, Social Services Supervisor at 387-3624.

The articles Grace referenced at the beginning of the discussion were from the September 6th edition of the Cook County News-Herald.
