WDSE public television in Duluth is creating a new half hour show called “The Playlist,” and they’re looking for input and participation from artists around the Arrowhead region.
Each half-hour episode will profile a variety of area artists in segments produced by staff from PBS eight. The station is looking for story ideas, and short, 1-2 minute videos produced locally, that feature local artists or events. The short videos will run in between the longer features during the show. WDSE is providing a small video camera, known as a “Flip” camera, for this purpose. The camera can be checked out at the Grand Marais Art Colony.
The new series will premiere April 1, 2010 and is made possible by the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund from the state of Minnesota. For more information, go to wdse.org., or call the Grand Marais Art Colony at 387-2737.
