Host CJ Heithoff brings you this Saturday morning show, created at the request of WTIP listeners.  North Shore Weekend features three hours of community information, features, interviews, and music. It's truly a great way to start your weekend on the North Shore. Arts, cultural and history features on WTIP’s North Shore Weekend are made possible with funding from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

The Stations of the Cross exhibit at the Grand Marais Art Colony continues through Easter Sunday with extended hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The show features works by 27 local artists, including this wood bas-relief sculpture by Howard Hedstrom.

Art News for March 20 weekend

"Stations of the Cross" opens at the Art Colony at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Betsy Bowen submitted the painting at left for the exhibit. More than 25 local artists have pieces in the show and represent everything from pottery to fiber art as well as sculpture, paintings, drawings and collages.
Paddy O'Brian and his band Chalrua are also in concert at North House at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Lots of fun stuff to do this weekend including Sivertson Gallery's 10th annual Inuit Premiere, which opens today (Saturday) and the Mush for the Cure events at Trail Center. That event concludes tonight with a dance with Rod N Real, "Cook County's Most Wanted."

The North Shore Photographers show opened at the Johnson Heritage Post on Friday night. It's the first show of the season at the Heritage Post and celebrates the beauty of the shore and the talented  artists who photograph it.
