The old Shore Theater building in downtown Grand Marais is being demolished.  The theater opened in 1937 and sat 310 people.  Once a movie house, it closed in the late sixties and has sat vacant for many years.   The deteriorating building became a concern for the city of Grand Marais after a piece of the building’s cement facade fell to the sidewalk a few years ago.  In this interview, Cook County native Rick Anderson remembers growing up when the theater was at the epicenter of downtown nightlife.
