Mayor, newly elected council members sworn in

Mayor Larry Carlson took the oath of office at Wednesday’s Grand Marais City Council meeting. New councilor Bob Spry and re-elected councilor Bill Lenz were also sworn in. The first order of business was to establish city council appointments to boards and commissions. A number of citizen appointments still remain vacant. The Library Board has one opening, the Park Board has two and the city’s Planning Commission needs one more member of the public.
