Buck spoke Apr. 20 with Andy Miller, senior research technologist at Mayo Clinic, about a research project under way to study the effects of altitude on respiration, metabolism, sleep patterns and more, in order to gain knowledge to apply to regular folks back home. Six researchers from Mayo are traveling up Mt. Everest to do it; you can follow their progress here.
