Interstate 35 lane closures scheduled for Feb. 7–8 in Duluth

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has advised that motorists traveling on Interstate 35 in Duluth will encounter lane closures Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Wednesday, Feb. 8, while MP Nexlevel crews install fiber-optic conduit on the Garfield Avenue Bridge.

Traffic impacts are as follows, weather permitting:

Tuesday, Feb. 7 – There will be lane closures on northbound I-35 from I-535 to north of Garfield Avenue beginning shortly after 9 a.m. Signs will direct motorists when to merge.

Wednesday, Feb. 8 – There will be lane closures on southbound I-35 from south of Fifth Avenue West to south of Garfield Avenue. Signs will direct motorists when to merge. All lanes will reopen by 3 p.m.
