Keep your fingers crossed for dry weather this morning.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says it can wrap up the two-year, $68 million, big-headache Interstate 35 Mega Project and reopen all lanes today — if the weather cooperates. All ramps already are open, and most lanes are open except those near 40th Avenue West.
According to the Duluth News-Tribune, project manager Roberta Dwyer said dry weather today will allow final striping on those lanes, and that would mean the interstate could be fully open by noon.
Unfortunately the National Weather Service says there’s a 40 percent chance of snow or rain today in Duluth.
If it rains, Dwyer said, the lanes will reopen “as soon as it dries up.”
