Grand Marais woman survives a near-disastrous snowshoe hike on Cascade River

The Grand Marais Volunteer Fire Department will hold a house burn training in conjunction with Mesabi Range Community College Saturday, April 10. The 8am burn will be at 406 1st Ave. E. and is expected to last all day.
 
Firefighters are asking residents near the burn to be sure their windows are closed and to avoid the burn area. First Ave. E. between County Road 7 and 4th Street will be closed to traffic. Questions should be directed to City Hall at 387-1848.
