Governor to appoint four citizens to conservation boards

Minnesotans interested in the state’s natural resources have an opportunity to influence conservation priorities.  Governor Mark Dayton is seeking citizens with experience and knowledge in natural resources, the outdoors and the environment to serve on one of two public commissions.
  
He will appoint two members to the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR), where appointees will recommend to the Legislature how money from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (lottery) should be spent. The governor will also appoint two members to the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council, a panel that makes Legislative funding recommendations from Legacy Amendment (sales tax) funds. 
  
The application deadline has been extended, and applications are now due Friday, Dec. 21.
